Cornrows and 2 Strand Twists With Beads

I had C's hair in a french braid the night before we did this style.  I took it down, wet her hair and moisturized with Curls Creme Brule.  I divided her hair in half from ear to ear and tied off the front section.  I parted out a section in the back near her ear to cornrow and added lots of Eco Styler hair gel (review coming soon!)  When I finished each cornrow, I added a small dab of gel between my thumb and finger and ran it down each braid to make sure no hairs would poke out.

I've been wanting to cornrow C's hair for a while but couldn't find the time.  It felt like I haven't cornrowed in forever, I was starting to think I might forget! ;)
I finally made the time last night, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Well, I messed up a little on the X braid.  I didn't think it was all that bad (and I was getting tired) so I left it.  Like I said-  I haven't cornrowed in a while!  It always seems like I don't do as well if I go a while without braiding.

I was tired of braids, so I switched to twists for a different look in the front.  Yeah, my twists didn't turn out so good either!  I do them the right way, but it seems like as soon as I loosen my grip on them, they start to unravel.  So I'm gonna have to work on that.

On the plus side, look how nice and moisturized her hair looks!  This was right after we finished her style, but still it looks nice.  Usually we have little hairs poking up all over right after we finish braiding- which is a bad combination with dry hair!  (We have to restyle constantly!)

So there you have it!  I just did something simple so I could try out the Eco Styler gel, I have a few ideas for some more exciting styles though-  I'm trying to bring out my creativity ;)

Half Crown Braid With Cornrows

This was re-created from a past style of ours, the Black And Neon Style.  I thought I posted this already, but I just saw it was in draft so I decided I'd show you now!   :)

I'm going to be having some pretty sad pictures for a while, because I'm having to use my phone again :(
But, at least I'll still have some pictures!

Ok, I'm not the best at explaining things, as you probably already know!  So, I'm hoping that this diagram  will help me explain it a little better.

It wasn't my original plan to keep the crown braid in front, but C got sleepy by the time I finished the back of her hair and we didn't have the time to cornrow any more this morning.

Anyway...

I started with section A.  I just braided 4 small cornrows straight down.
I braided 2 cornrows starting at the top of section B going all the way across the top of sections C and D.

Then I made a cornrow under those 2 starting at the left side of section B and going down the right side.
I moved to the part line of section C and made a cornrow going to the front of her face.

Then I went to section D and made a cornrow all the way back over to section B.  I did 3 more cornrows going straight down and section B was finished.

To finish sections C and D, I made one cornrow starting at the side of C's head (by her ear) and went down with it following section C's pre-existing part line.
The rest of C's hair was finished with cornrows just going straight down.

Wow, even I'm confused by that! o_0

The pictures are probably easier to follow than my explanation!

Poor C was so sick of me taking pictures of her to get ones that were good enough to use!

I didn't even realize I was leaving out the ends!  I used a bright pink and glow in the dark pink bead pattern.

Here's a little view of C's beads.  I added a cute butterfly barrette to the end of the crown braid with the same shades of pink.  Those are going to be part of my next giveaway (100 followers celebration) because I LOVE these barrettes!  Stay tuned to get a look ;)

This style looked so much cuter in person!  I wish I didn't have such bad photos.  I might just have to do something like this again...

Chunky Cornrows With Zig Zag Pattern

I wasn't at all in the mood to do anything with C's hair, especially cornrows!  I finally talked myself into doing something simple.  I wanted a style that would last from Thursday until Sunday.  Her hair was very frizzy and messy by Sunday, but at least we didn't have to mess with combing it out for a few days.

I just started making parts and cornrows, and I noticed a little bit of a zig-zag pattern going on, so I decided to go with that look.
This is another style that is quite simple.  I started with detangled, damp hair moisturized with Curls Creme' Brule and a light oil (review coming soon!)
I added the Creme' Brule to each section before cornrowing.

C wanted to wear something to match her pretty green shirt, so I divided the cornrows into ponytails and added some Goody Ouchless ponytail holders.  I braided the cornrows from each ponytail together and added some pretty bows at the ends for more color.

This style only took around a half an hour to finish.  As I said, this is a very simple style and perfect for busy school mornings or nights when you don't have a lot of time to spend on hair.

I'm hoping to get creative and think of something more interesting, so stay tuned!  :)

Heart Faux Hawk With Beads- A Valentines Day Hairstyle

I wanted something cute and of course Valentines Day themed for today! :)
I had lots of styles I wanted to do, but this one just seemed to keep coming to my mind so this is what I did.

You might remember seeing a similar style here on our blog, if you've been following us that long.

This is the style I did on D, who was our first Curly Friend to be featured!
C's is basically the same, only I did flat twists for D and cornrows for C, and also I put a ponytail inside C's heart with some braids and beads.

So, here's how I did C's style...
First I prepared C's hair by seperating it into several small sections, then finger detangled followed by
combing with our wide tooth comb.  I used a generous amount of moisturizer (I'll be reviewing it later!), sealed with oil, then re-moisturized each section as I worked.  I used Bee Mine Curly Butter for hold.  This is experiment #1 to find what will work best with the curly butter- more on that later too.

Once C's hair was detangled and moisturized, I parted straight down the middle then tied the left section off.  I made the heart first, then I cornrowed around it.
Next, I simply parted small sections of hair and cornrowed them up towards the center part line.
I decided to make this style a little more eye catching by braiding in a couple heart shaped beads to some of the cornrows.

To do this, I sectioned off a small amount of hair where the cornrow would begin (the amount you would normally take to begin a cornrow), and used our beader to add a single heart bead to that hair.
Then I split the hair that was coming from the bead into 2 strands, added a small piece of hair to make a 3rd strand and cornrowed as usual.
I really hope that makes sense!

When I was finished with all the cornrowing, I pulled the hair from both sides up to the middle and added ponytails.  C's hair is still damp in the photos, but when her hair is completely dry, it will poof out and look really cute!
I pulled a few cornrows together and put them in ponytails so that I could use less ponytails in her hair.  I also added beads to all the braids in the heart and the cornrows around it.

I didn't want a particular pattern, I wanted the beads to be random and colorful.  I love the way beads look when they're in a package or container all mixed up and that's what I like to do a lot of times when I put them in C's hair :)
This morning, C's hair looked very fresh and seemed more moisturized than usual.  I dampened her hair again, added more moisturizer and just a little oil to seal it in, then I sprayed it with a moisturizing mist (which I'll also be reviewing later!)  I hope that this style will stay fresh a couple days, even though Valentines Day is over after today.  I didn't get nearly half my ideas finished on time for Valentines Day, so that means I'll have even more to do next year and maybe think of even better things!

Well, the Valentines Day styles might be over, but I have some other things I'm planning on doing and lots of reviews coming, so keep checking back!
Happy Valentines Day! <3

Heart Shaped Pony With Big Cornrows- A Valentines Day Style

I have a lot of ideas I hope to do by Valentines Day and also some that I'd like to borrow.  This is one of (hopefully) many!
Since I'm planning on doing several different styles all by Valentines Day, I decided to go with a style that wouldn't take long to put in or take down.

I started with damp, well detangled hair.  I separated C's hair into several small sections and moisturized each section with Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier and Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie.  I used a little Africa's Best Herbal hair oil to seal the moisture in.
First, I parted the heart off to the side in the front of C's hair.  Once I was done with the heart and the cornrows around it, I put the rest of her hair into several big cornrows.

I was having a 'bad hand day' as I like to call it.  For some reason I noticed that whenever I go for more than a week or so without doing cornrows, I don't do good with them.  o_O  I'll be doing another post to talk more about that later.
Anyway, there's not much else more to say about this style.  It was just a simple, short lasting style.  Since this style isn't going to last long and won't be in for Valentines Day, I didn't add any accessories.  I like to keep accessories to a minimum, although I might add a few jumbo pink beads in the morning if her hair still looks fresh.  I'll be taking this style down tomorrow night and doing something different.

I really like the front view of this style!  :)
Since I decided not to add any accessories, I ended each braid about an inch or so from the ends so that they would be curly.

I used to be a LOT more creative with C's hair than I am now!  But no that I've found all these styles on hair blogs and keep seeing things on facebook that I want to try, I find myself trying all of those instead of thinking up something of my own.  I'm working on cutting down on that so I can show you all some better things- I really can do more, so stay with me  :)

Also, I did this style last Valentines Day and I've wanted to show it to people ever since!  I didn't want to show it without permission of the person I borrowed the style from, but I finally got brave enough to show it on facebook and I'm going to show it here.  I hope no one minds...

In case you don't already know, this style was borrowed from BeadsBraidsBeyond!  :) Hers looks better though.  At the time, I thought I did a great job on this style.  I still think I did pretty good, and I think my hearts have gotten better too.  I accidentally deleted the picture of the right side, but it's basically the same as the left side.
I used Africa's Best Kids Organics Soft Hold Styling Pomade & Hairdress for this style.  Although it has no petrolatum or mineral oil, it does have parabens and silicones.  I liked it, but I don't use it any more because I'm trying to use the healthiest products possible and more natural products are easily available.

So... What do you think?  I'd love to share your Valentines Day styles too so if you want them shown, send them to me at curlyhairisbeautiful@gmail.com

Cornrows With Ponies And Beads

There really isn't too much to this style.  I wanted to do something that would hopefully last the rest of the week so that I don't have to do anything with C's hair until we wash it on Sunday.
I wanted this style to be random, so I didn't work section by section.  I did 1 or 2 cornrows in one area and then I went to another area and just kept moving around until I was finished.

Right Side
I decided to add ponytails to this style because C wanted to wear her new glittery barrettes and beads, but I have no luck getting beads to stay with snaps or barrettes so I did a little combination style.

Back/Top View
The braid in the middle looks a little crooked because it was actually only cornrowed halfway back.  I wanted a partially free hanging braid just to be cute :)

Back/Bottom View
I didn't add the barrettes until C left for school because they like to get caught in her sleeping cap. (I took these pictures before she went to bed.)

Left Side

I don't know why the m isn't where it belongs, it was before I posted the pics...

I  didn't use a specific pattern with the beads.  I just grabbed them and put them in C's hair to add a little more random-ness.  It also saved lots of time!

C's hair was banded overnight to try and stretch her hair, and also to keep it from tangling.  In my opinion, a style takes enough time to do so I try and keep it as tangle free as possible.

For this style, I wet C's hair with our spray bottle of water mixed with a few drops of Africa's Best Herbal Oil.  I didn't use anything for hold because I wanted to see how the moisturizer we used would do all on it's own.
I used Unrefined African Shea Butter (I'll try and do the review later tonight or tomorrow)
I always use a lot of moisturizer because C's hair is sooo dry, but I really used a ton of this!
As usual, I used a rat tail comb for parting.
I'm pretty slow at hairstyling, especially when it comes to braiding.  I have to take extra time because I don't want to pull or snap any hair and C's hair gets knotted during braiding.  This style took me about 1 1/2 hours to do, plus a few short breaks.

I know I haven't been posting anything in a while, but I finally got a good enough camera to take pictures I can show so hopefully you'll be seeing more from us!  :)

Side Cornrows Into Ponies

This style was actually inspired by yesterday's Curly Friend, Jerrica.  I love the faux hawk look and I was in the mood to do cornrows!

As you can probably tell, this looks a little different than a faux hawk normally would.  This is because half way through the style, C reminded me that today was favorite hat day at school! I planned on a low side pony so curls could show under the hat, but since I didn't want to undo all my work, I decided that I would do something a little different...

The first ponytail (in front) was planned.  I love to show off C's curls, so that was going to be a curly ponytail.
Her hair is a little messy in this pic because this was taken just before her bath and bedtime, plus she had gym today and also wore a hat!  :)
All I did was divided the left half of C's hair into 3 more sections and added ponies.  I left all of the hair from the ponies down.  As I said, she wore a hat today and I wanted the curls to show.
I didn't get a pic of her in her hat because she wanted to take it off when she got home, but she looked so cute!  I'm hoping to talk her into putting it back on tomorrow for a quick photo, but I didn't want to wait to post this since I've been kind of quiet for a while.

C did one of her 'daughters' hair while I did hers  :)
She was so proud of it, how could I not show you?! <3

This style took me about an hour to do- I'm a slow braider for one thing, and I took a while debating if I should take the cornrows out and do my original style or leave them and come up with something else... Personally, I like my decision! :)
I used some leave in conditioner and lots of coconut oil to moisturize- C's hair is always super dry no matter what o_0  Then I used lots of Taliah Waajid Lock It Up Gel.  I've been using this a lot lately because I like the price and availability, and also I like how it holds styles and defines C's curls.  I'm trying to decide what to use next...
Well, I guess that's all I have to say about this!  I'm going to switch this up just a little in the morning, but before I do, I'll just have to get a pic of her in the little hat she wore today!  So you might want to stop by tomorrow and check it out!  Also, I got new hair accessories (which will be part of my 100 follower's giveaway) and I want to have some opinions as to what to do with them!  ;)

Black And Neon Style- Transformed

Last night I finished C's hairstyle by turning the crown braid into 6 cornrows.

I was really happy with C's hair this morning.  She had almost no frizzies at all, and her hair was still looking fresh and moisturized.
BUT...
Before school, a woman thought her hair looked neat- which was a nice compliment to me until she decided she wanted to rub her hands through it and push the beads up to see how they were put on : /
Then C was playing with her hair trying to put all the hanging braids into a ponytail, and that caused some frizzing too.

I left it up to C to decide if she would get her hair taken down tomorrow morning (so she could wear the braid out to school) or if she wanted to deal with the frizz until Monday.  We decided together that the beads will come out in the morning and the hanging braids will be put into a ponytail.  We don't have any special plans this weekend, so I'll just let her hair frizz on and she can wear the braid out on Monday!  :)

So how do you like this style?  How frizzy do you let your/ your child's hair get before you redo it?

Simple Curly Cornrows For Back To School

Well, C goes back to school next Monday, so I've been trying to come up with some simple and quick hairstyles for those mornings when we don't have much time.
This is actually her style for the zoo tomorrow   :)
This style is by no means anything special, but I've missed seeing C's hair styled since I haven't done much with it this summer, so I thought I'd share it with you all anyway.

It was very simple and only took about 25 minutes to do.

We just washed C's hair, so it was already wet and moisturized with a leave in and some coconut oil.
I parted her hair in half, from ear to ear and sectioned off the back with a ponytail holder to keep it out of my way while I worked on the front.
I made an off centered part, just to make it a little more cute than just plain straight back braids.
Then I sectioned off the right side and did a few simple cornrows on the left side.  I used Taliah Waajid Lock-It-Up gel for hold.

When I started this style, I planned on alternating big and small cornrows.  It didn't work out that way because C's hair is thin in the front and she has some spots where the hair is too short to braid.
A lot of times I just go ahead and try to work the short hair into C's cornrows and as her hair dries, that short hair will poke out on it's own.  When ever I do that, I make extra sure not to pull the hair too tight so that I don't cause any breakage.
I have been trying to make sure that I keep the short hair out lately because it's so fragile and as I said, I don't want to cause any breakage.

You may or may not remember I did a post few months back saying I was starting to use Bee Mine growth serum.  I never did a follow up on that because I didn't like it, but I know I really should have done a follow up review either way.  Anyway, I'll do that a little later, but to make a long story short... C was allergic and it caused a lot of thinning.

I'm still never able to differentiate between baby hair and breakage in the front, so I'm not sure if the short hair is baby hair that's growing out or not.  What I do with the long hair is I twist it up into a little curl.  That way it looks more like baby hair, at least to me.  I like to use the Lock-It-Up gel for this because it has GREAT hold and gives amazing definition!
One thing I notice is that when I do cornrow C's hair straight back, the shorter hair is more uniform than when I use a slanted or off centered part.  That is because all along her hairline is short baby/broken hair- I hope that makes sense.

So, I just did the same thing on the right side as the left, only I braided the cornrows going downward instead of toward the back/center of C's head.

This picture is a perfect example of what I was trying to explain.
If you notice, there is a very small amount of hair on the outside of the first braid, along her hairline.  This is obviously baby hair, this is the only time I can tell!  :)
Her hair was still pretty damp, but the ends of the braids were mostly dry.  Look at those gorgeous curls!
As I already mentioned, I used the Lock-It-Up gel for the cornrows, and then I also rubbed a small amount down the entire length of her hair for definition.
My plan was to do half-rows and then use a few barrette beads as a simple way to add color to the ends of each braid.  I changed my mind when I saw how beautiful her ends turned out and I thought about doing some box braids in the back.  I decided against that because I don't really like the way box braids look on C, and also I wanted this to be simple and quick!

Her shirt has a rainbow zebra  :)

I put the back section of her hair into some big braids for a simple braid out in the morning, and I put her bonnet on right away so that she could relax the rest of the night.
Even though this is very basic, I like this style because it combines my two favorite looks for C- Cornrows and curls!
I wasn't looking forward to doing C's hair even though I wanted it styled.  The reason for that is I figured my hands would be sore since I went so long without doing any styles, but I also wanted to do some new posts.  I'm glad I decided to, because my hands aren't nearly as sore as I thought they would be and now we can get to the zoo bright and early tomorrow morning without having to do much with C's hair!  Yay!  :)

Also, there's still time to enter our Back To School Giveaway!  :)

Simple Chunky Cornrows Into A Single Braid

For me, the best part about hair styling in the summer is that I can take all the time I want to come up with a style and work on it.  C sees summertime a little differently... She thinks that as long as she's not going to school, she doesn't have to get her hair done!  Her daddy has the idea that her hair needs a break from being done for a while so that it can 'air out' a little.  He doesn't understand (or care) that if I don't do anything with C's hair for a week it gets all matted up and ends up causing more damage and taking much more time.
Anyway, to make everyone happy, I decided on this simple style...
                                                       Just some simple chunky cornrows!
I started with an off centered part from front to back, and then just for a little more variety I added what I call a bang braid.  I like styles that frame her face a little.
It's hard to tell from these crappy pictures, but C's shirt was green and blue.  The ballie in her hair was cute little green bunches of grapes that I thought seemed summery so I wrapped it around the braid.   :)

I added a few barrette beads to the bang braid and we were finished!  It's nothing fancy, but I thought it turned out cute anyway.
This simple style only took 20 minutes including detangling and it will be in for 3 days.  What is your quick summer hair styling like?

Half Rows and A Braid Out

I still have very low quality pictures, but it's better than no pictures at all right? : /
I wanted to cornrow all of C's hair, but I ended up getting out of the mood to do hair so I just did this half back style with a braid out in the back.  I wasn't too happy with the braid out because to me it looked too much like her natural curls, only looser.

I like the way the cornrows turned out.  For this style, I parted C's hair into 2 sections, front and back.  I tied the back off and started cornrowing the front section.
I was trying to do something a little more creative than just braiding straight back, so what I did was I also made some braids starting from the back of C's part line going towards her face.  It made cute little 'bang' braids.  As I said, I was planning to braid ALL of C's hair, which is why I braided all the cornrows to the ends instead of ending them at the part line.  I put the back section into 3 big cornrows and left them in until the next morning.  I think the reason the braid out didn't turn out the way I wanted it to is because I left out the Taliah Waajid lock it up gel!  I just moisturized with Bee Mine curly butter.  As I said before, I'm not a big fan of Bee Mine, but since I bought 2 great big tubs of the curly butter, I'm still using it once in a while.  C's hair seems to soak the curly butter right up within an hour or so (and I use A LOT of it!) I also have to use something that provides hold, which is why I like the lock it up gel.
This style stayed for only 2 days.  I could probably have gotten away with a 3rd day, but since it's almost the end of the school year, I want to think of something extra special to do!  Hopefully I'll come up with something and have pictures for you tomorrow!  :)

Random Braids

I couldn't decide what to name this hairstyle.  I don't really name my styles unless they actually look like something- like the peace sign I did a few posts back.
This is just simple cornrows, so there's no explanation needed there.  I will explain how I ended up with this style though!...
I parted C's hair into off centered, random parts and made some ponytails with braids in each section for school.  This was my way to stretch her hair a little for these braids.  It never really does me any good, but it is helpful when it comes to detangling, and saves me time having the parts already made also! :)   When C got home from school, I took out the ponytails and began to braid my cornrows.  I tried to make the braids in each section going a different direction, just to give the style a more unique look.  A lot of it was covered by braids in the other sections, but I still think it turned out cute and I liked it...

This is my least favorite view of this style, but I wanted to show every angle anyway.
This would be the front right section of C's hair, and just a little bit of the back right side.

I decided to be a little less plain and I braided an X into the front left side of C's hair. C has very fine, thin hair in the front, so I don't like to get too intricate with cornrows in the front.  Her short, thin hairs tangle very easily, even while braided, so its best that I keep it simple there.

Here is the back of C's hair.  This is where a lot of the different directions ended up hidden.  It isn't visible, but I did a few braids going straight down along with other braids going from side to side.  I just did this to make more braids that would end up on the sides rather than just the back, so its ok that a lot of that got covered up.

I also did 2 braids that crossed over from one section into another, but that isn't very visible... You can barely see the one crossed over braid if you look closely in the back of C's head in this picture!  It was noticeable in person, and I thought it showed up when I took these pictures- I guess I was wrong!
I didn't add any decoration to this style because I just wanted something that would last the better part of the week.  Usually whenever I add beads, it seems to dry her hair out faster- especially at the ends.  C's hair just will not absorb any moisture at all unless I wet it first!  Even when I wet her hair to add some moisture, what happens is C's hair just looks like a frayed rope or yarn when its been braided together.  That's the best way I can describe it.  I might take a picture of it next time so you can get a better idea of what I mean.
And now its feedback time...  :)
How do you moisturize your child's (or your) hair once it has been styled?

Abstract Hair- The Peace Sign

So, do you ever ask your daughter "What do you want done with your hair today?"  And has she ever came back with something you think (or know) would be impossible for you to do?
I always ask C how she wants her hair unless I already have a plan for it.  Sometimes she gives me simple ideas, like a french braid or 2, braids with beads or ponytails. But sometimes she tells me things like "I want my hair to say Happy St. Patrick's Day with a 4 leaf clover and a leprechaun!" ... So of course sometimes I have to explain to her I cant do everything, and thank her for thinking I can! :)
A little while ago, C asked for a peace sign.  That sounded easy enough, so I decided to try it.  She wanted more braids, but this is how it turned out...

C was expecting a braid going around her head for the circle, but I wanted a style I could use a little decoration with, so I went with pigtails around the 'peace sign' braids.
This was a pretty easy style, and didn't take too long. All I did her was made a braid straight down the middle of C's head, and made smaller braids on each side near the middle- like a peace sign.  Then of course I put the leftover hair into ponytails.  C said that people could tell what it was, so I guess it was a pretty good choice.
*For this style I wet C's hair with water, then combed some ORS Carrot Oil through her hair with our Curl Tamer brush.  I used Bee Mine Curly Butter to do the braids and ponytails, and did some quick 2 strand twists (which you cant really see in the picture) coming from each ponytail with some matching purple barrettes at the ends. The style took about 25 minutes all together.  I don't usually time myself even though I mean to since everyone is always asking me how long things take!  I'm pretty slow, especially when it comes to braiding, because her hair always ends up clumping together, and little hairs are always wrapping around each other so I have to be careful that I don't end up snapping her hair while I'm braiding or doing pretty much anything!  This happens no matter how much banding and moisturizing I do- her hair just wants to stick together!
Anyway,... if I didn't tell you what this was supposed to be, would you have guessed it right?

Cornrows Into Braided Pigtails

I wanted a cute cornrow style that would be somewhat quick to put in C's hair. I started braiding, and this is what I ended up with...

There's nothing really special about this hairstyle, I just like the way it turned out.  It's a little different from what I usually do because  I don't use braids as big as these very often, I mostly only do small braids.
For this style, I used nothing but ORS Carrot Oil and some water.

I'm not very good at explaining how I did a style, but Ill do my best! :)
This is a fairly basic style.  I just started from the hairline above C's left eye, and parted all the way back behind her right ear.  I put that hair into 2 cornrows, then I braided 3 cornrows on the left side.  Once I got the front part braided, I just kept braiding in a straight back pattern until I ran out of hair.

Once I got all of C's hair braided, I put all the cornrows on the left side of her head into a braid, then all the cornrows on the right side of her head into another braid, sort of making pigtails.
My plan was to either add beads to the ends of each braid or leave them to hang as they were, but I like the look of braiding braids together so that's what I went with this time.

*Check back tomorrow or maybe even later on tonight for another review on some new shampoo and conditioner we've been using!

Braided Faux-Hawk- Revised Again

Today to change C's hair a little, I just pulled it all back into a ponytail with her new iCarly flower pony tail holder.  I added the Bee Mine Growth Serum to her scalp and moisturized with Bee Mine Curly Butter.
I added some matching blue barrette snaps just for a little extra color, and she was done!
This photo really shows how fuzzy her braids are getting, so I'm thinking this will be the last day for this style.  I don't think the Curly Butter is good as a moisturizer on it's own, which I know it isn't meant to be but I still was hoping for moisture.  Tomorrow morning she will wear the braid out, which is one of my favorite looks!
