Cornrows and 2 Strand Twists With Beads

I had C's hair in a french braid the night before we did this style.  I took it down, wet her hair and moisturized with Curls Creme Brule.  I divided her hair in half from ear to ear and tied off the front section.  I parted out a section in the back near her ear to cornrow and added lots of Eco Styler hair gel (review coming soon!)  When I finished each cornrow, I added a small dab of gel between my thumb and finger and ran it down each braid to make sure no hairs would poke out.

I've been wanting to cornrow C's hair for a while but couldn't find the time.  It felt like I haven't cornrowed in forever, I was starting to think I might forget! ;)
I finally made the time last night, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Well, I messed up a little on the X braid.  I didn't think it was all that bad (and I was getting tired) so I left it.  Like I said-  I haven't cornrowed in a while!  It always seems like I don't do as well if I go a while without braiding.

I was tired of braids, so I switched to twists for a different look in the front.  Yeah, my twists didn't turn out so good either!  I do them the right way, but it seems like as soon as I loosen my grip on them, they start to unravel.  So I'm gonna have to work on that.

On the plus side, look how nice and moisturized her hair looks!  This was right after we finished her style, but still it looks nice.  Usually we have little hairs poking up all over right after we finish braiding- which is a bad combination with dry hair!  (We have to restyle constantly!)

So there you have it!  I just did something simple so I could try out the Eco Styler gel, I have a few ideas for some more exciting styles though-  I'm trying to bring out my creativity ;)
